Michalis is an investor, entrepreneur, and ecosystem builder with more than a decade of experience in venture investment and innovation.
He is the Co-Founder and Partner of L-Stone Capital, where he has been an active investor for the past ten years. He is also the Founder of MSCOMM, a full-service communications company with a 20-year presence across 10 countries.
Michalis is the Co-Founder and Vice President of SmartAgroHub, an innovative company focused on smart agriculture, and a Co-Founder of Industry Disruptors Game Changers, a pioneering organization strengthening innovation with a presence in 64 countries. He is also a Co-Founder of SciCo, an organization dedicated to science communication and the popularization of science.
He is a Co-Founder of the “Atelier” Foundation of George Lazongas, which promotes modern and visual arts.
Michalis serves as an Advisor to the European Commission and has held positions in the Greek Government, contributing to the Ministry of Citizen Protection, the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure and Networks, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In academia, he is a Visiting Professor at the Alexander Fleming Biomedical Sciences Research Center and the Athens Medical School.
A strong advocate of the open innovation model, Michalis focuses on creating added value for both the economy and society and has contributed to the design of innovative policies, services, and products.
Earlier in his career, he served as a Special Scientific Associate at the Historical Archives of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Institute of International Relations at Panteion University.
He studied Political Science, Communication, and European Studies at the University of Wolverhampton and the London School of Economics (LSE) as a scholarship recipient of the Botsis Foundation for the Promotion of Journalism and the Athens Daily Newspaper Editors Association.
