The Hellenic Dutch Association celebrates its Pita-Cutting for 2020
Our annual celebration to welcome the new year unfolded in a warm atmosphere as HeDA members and friends gathered at the Aethrion of the Athens Hilton Hotel. BoD President Konstantinos Maggioros, Vice-President Marianna Politopoulou, General Secretary Panagiotis Baras and BoD members George Kotsalos, Alexandros Daniilides, Kanaris Papanastasopoulos, Vassilis Stavrou and Georgios Thomaides, were all there along with friends and representatives of member-companies.
Mr. K. Maggioros, touching on HeDA’s mission, stated: “I am truly pleased that our Association is pursuing its work while growing into a dynamic institution, which is instrumental for both the market and the national economy, while remaining true to its vision of acting as a strong paragon promoting trade and commerce between Greece and the Netherlands.
H.E. the Ambassador of the Netherlands Mrs. Stella Ronner-Grubačić highlighted the key role Dutch companies in Greece have had for decades and specified that now, having weathered the economic crisis, they can be a lever for Greek economic growth. Moreover, she stressed that the Netherlands will continue to be supportive of Greece on its path for viable reforms.
Minister of Development and Investment Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, who also graced the event with his presence, emphasised the significant contribution of HeDA and the Dutch Embassy as well as their prolific partnership with the Greek government but also the intent to further develop and foster this bilateral economic cooperation.
The traditional pita-cutting ceremony was the culmination of the festive gathering.
